#3 Greg Cerillo Jr. (5'11"): "Money" Greg struggled though some injuries after HS. Came out of Faith Academy High School as Long Islands 3rd all time leading scorer (2,320 points). When healthy considered one of the better shooters to ever come off Long Island. Has shot 50% or more from the 3-point line in HS and College (almost 56% from the field and 85% from the foul line). Was a member of the 2004 undefeated Suffolk CC National Championship Team. In High School Greg captured virtually every major award: All League, 2- time IPPSAL League Player of the Year, 1st Team New York State, and 2-time Christian HS All American. Played professional in the ABA and won 2 Long Island 3-point shooting championships as a Pro.  In his first year in the EBA (Wizards – 2009) Greg utilized his exceptional shooting ability to ease double teams off the Wizards big men.  Greg posted an EBA record that may never be broken!  For 2009 Greg shot 55% from the NBA distance 3-pt line in EBA play (Min. 2 shot attempts per game 10 game season or 24 shot attempts for a 12 game season).  In one game this past season (3/14/09 against the NovaHawks) Greg scored 19 Pts while shooting 5-7 from the NBA 3-pt line (5 made 3’s being the 4th highest total ever posted in a game in EBA history).  Greg was also second in the league in steals per game for 2009 with 2.2 SPG.  In one game this past season (3/7/09) Greg recorded 5 steals in a single game (3rd highest single game total in league history).  Loyalty to teammates, hard work and dedication as well as attendance at every Wizards off season event and practice has earned this player a position as one of this years Tri-Captains (2009/2010).

#10 Leon Pursoo (6'1"): Played at Long Island Lutheran High School where he averaged 15 PPG and almost 8 APG. Leon took his game to the next level where he proved to be a dominating point guard at Division II Southampton College. Leon earned 1st Team All Conference honors while at Southampton College for both his Junior & Senior seasons and led the team in scoring his Sophomore, Junior, and Senior seasons. Leon has the ability to take the paint against virtually any defender. An excellent ball handler and passer at 6'1" Leon is also an outstanding passer! One of the more athletic point guards in the region Leon has great "hops" and will throw one down for the fans when he gets out on a break.  Leon’s first season in professional basketball (EBA – Wizards – 2009) saw him lead the league in assists with a 9.1 APG average.  “Leon is an extension of the coaching staff” Stated Steve Geick General Manager “No better compliment can be paid to Leon more than he just gets it.  He know what the coaches want and he knows how to get his teammates the ball where they can be effective.”  Leon however is no one trick pony.  Leon averaged almost 13 PPG (one of 7 Wizards players to obtain a double figure scoring average per game).  Leon’s nickname is the Jet and he virtually is impossible to stop in terms of penetration into the paint.  Leon’s ability to break down a defense with his scoring, passing, and dribbling is appreciated by teammates and fans alike!  Because of his outstanding commitment to the Wizards off-season program Leon is one of the Wizards Tri-Captains for 2009/2010!

#55 Lucius Savadel (6'7"):  Lucius is like a story you read about in a magazine.  After not playing organized ball at all while attending Longwood High School, Lucius walked onto the Suffolk Community College Team in the late 90’s and led the team in rebounds (he placed 5th overall in the conference in rebounds).  Lucius fulfilled family obligations and commitments while working full time and for all intense and purposes his basketball career appeared to over.  Greg Cerillo Jr. became friends with Lucius while at Faith Academy High School and the two became good friends and workout partners.  Greg recommended Lucius to the coaching staff last season and the rest is history.  With no hesitation Lucius showed up to practice last season at 6’7” and 280 pounds of muscle and earned his way onto the team.  Lucius is perhaps the most popular teammate to every player on the club and will fulfill any role requested of him.  Lucius scored 6 points and 7 rebounds against the NJ Lightning last season on 2/14/09 (both season highs).  Lucius though is perhaps best known for his ability (hard fouls) to keep opponents from scoring easy baskets!

#24 Mike McDuffie (6'4"):  Mike is flat out the most athletic player on the Wizards roster.  Truly Mike is a highlight film waiting to happen and provides the Wizards a forward who can fill the lanes, run the court, rebound, and defend as well as virtually any forward in the league.  Mike should please the home fans with an array of dunks and attacks on the basket not often seen at this level.  As a High School player at Alexander Hamilton Mike turned in an incredible Senior year earning a list of honors which included - All-State, All-Section, All-County and being voted MVP (Section / State).  Mike attended Westchester Community College and was voted an All Region player while helping Westchester Community win the Region XV basketball title.  Mike averaged 12 ppg, 7 rpg, and 5 assists in competitive Region XV play.  At Adelphi Mike continued his winning ways helping the program win 20 games in each of his two seasons there while starting 52 of 57 games in one of the East Coasts most competitive Division II programs, who has lead the country in FG% defense while he attended.
